God, am I happy spring is almost here in New York. I’m so tired of my parka—at the end of every winter I’m always just about ready to burn it—and yearn to go glove-and-hat-free as soon as nature will allow. What follows are some lovely, lighter-weight numbers that you could easily wear now layered and pretty soon all on their own. This collarless quilted jacket doesn’t come in the spring-iest of colors, but I think it’s super-chic.
And I believe this pullover anorak to be the cutest in pale pink.
A really good, nicely roomy army jacket (it comes in a fun leopard print, too).
A super-thin Barbour jacket is the most excellent layer—try it under a leather jacket for kicks—and really quite stylish as well.
The word for this is snappy.
I haven’t been so keen on moto jackets of late, but I think the color and cut here is outstanding.
A clean-lined leather jacket at a nice price.
A good choice for kicking around on weekends.
Here’s a not-cheap but really quite excellent bomber.
And here’s a thinner (and not quite so pricey, if still not cheap) bomber, in a grey that I absolutely love.
And finally, from Levi’s: a work jacket with a classic camo print.
