Top 5 of the week: backpacks

ragbone backpack

This is big enough for a small laptop, but doesn’t come off at all I’m-shlepping-my-laptop-ish.

Screen Shot 2015-05-11 at 1.11.03 PM

As roomy as a tote—but delightfully hands-free.

transport backpack

Like you took a rugged little rucksack and ran it through the  streamline machine.

baggu backpack

This under $50 option reminds me just a touch of the ones from agnes b we all wore in the 90s.

croc stamped

I like how much this croc stamped leather number resembles a bucket bag in shape.

This morning I decided I needed a new backpack, something stylish and not childish, as is always my concern about wearing backpacks. I spent about 15 minutes poking around and then, as always happens, I decided I had better consult your site. Lo and behold what is your post today but about backpacks! You are always reading my mind, I love it.

I have to say I kinda like the canvas one best because you can get it in Indigo and a “sailor stripe” both of which are refreshingly not black. I have far, far, far too much black in my closet so my fashion mantra this summer (for purchases) is “no black.” I set the bar very high.

Kim, did you see the canvas comes in a leopard print??!!

They kinda flubbed it though imo — it’s too restrained and the color’s not right. A worthy effort though.

      I liked the indigo best.

I’ve had too many indigo pieces rub off on bags or furniture, so I’m assuming the reverse can happen, too. Just FYI.

Good to know––hadn’t thought of the rubbing off possibility…I was just fixin’ to order the indigo….sailor stripes are looking up!

I like 2 and 4. Lots of times I wear them in front.
