Let’s start off with Net A Porter, since they were the first to hit my inbox. And of the selection at Net A Porter, let’s begin with this boucle jacket from Iro, which I have eyed many times; it gives you the chic of a winter white without being quite so impractical.
As a lady with hips, pencil skirts scare me. But this denim version, which I purchased over the summer, actually makes me feel va-va-voom rather than lumpy.
I have wanted this Clare Vivier clutch since it hit stores a few months ago, and I am not even a clutch person.
Blue-lensed sunglasses are so cool—especially for winter, somehow.
And now we move on to the site for LA boutique The Dreslyn, where absolutely everything is 25% off. They’ve got pieces on offer that never go on sale. Like this Jerome Dreyfuss bag, for instance.
Also: a cardi with the Comme des Garcons heart I so adore.
And why not a delectable cashmere poncho?
Next stop on our tour is Barneys, where it pleases me not to report that a lot of the marked down items are summer holdovers and not that exciting. But there are gems to be rooted out: these Rag & Bone jeans have exactly what I’m going for lately: a nice boyfriend-y cut, and cropped hem.
I’ve had a thing for this Nili Lotan sweater since I saw it in her Tribeca store a while back. It’s a very throw-it-on-and-suddenly-your-outfit-says-something kind of a piece.
Just a smart little pair of black trousers, and you can’t beat that.
I am showing a back view of this Isabel Marant coat because it is styled annoyingly, with a top that makes it look quite unappealing (which is, I am certain, why they have every size available when it has sold out pretty much everywhere else). I bought it at the top of the season, and find it to be a very appealing piece: practical, comfortable, and French girl all at once. And I’m not even bitter that it is now judiciously marked down and I paid retail, because I have worn it to absolute pieces.
Finally, over at Shopbop they’re having one of their the-more-you-spend-the-more-you-save sales: shell out $250 on goods and you get 15% off; $500 earns you 20%, and $1000 and over, a whopping 25%. And—unlike Shopbop’s Friends and Family events, this one comes with no lengthy list of brand exclusions. Which pleases me because I can show you items like this Canada Goose jacket, which was totally not on sale during their last F&F.
I always feel the need to point out an opportunity to buy R13 jeans for less, and these are a particularly good pair—and flattering too, which is rare for grey jeans.
A rock-solid moto jacket from BLK DNM, at outfit that knows its way around a leather jacket.
My friend and associate Andrea Linett lives in these these faux-shearling-lined Rachel Comey booties.
The ATM trousers are perfect.

I like the Iro, the Vince poncho (which I thought was not really a poncho but apparently, is!), and the RnB jeans. Happy hunting y’all!

Rag&Bone jeans purchased — thanks for the roundup & happy Tday!

Love the zig-zag coats! Bad styling equals good sale price.
I could see the Rachel Comey boots as sort of “chic UGGS.’
Just a question, but why are gray jeans rarely flattering???

Ok, I have not much hips but at 50+ I do have baggy knees. Remember the Frame Denim pencil skirt purchase from over the summer and wonder how one justifies the front slit. Because sitting, I cannot.
