Tuesday trifecta
Three wild and bright leopard prints—because if you’re going to go for it, summer’s the time. This oversized pouch could totally double as a clutch.
I couldn’t not with this bronzer.
A good mood in a shoe.
Excitement! Win one of these wicked cool Emerson Fry caftans
Never have I been so tempted to rig a giveaway in my favor as I am now: these are caftans in which to stylishly lounge your way through the rest of summer, and to stuff in the suitcase for every beach vacation after that. We’re giving one away to three lucky ladies, and I am already desperately jealous of whoever wins this one. All you’ve got to do to win is enter here by July 6.
Top 5 of the week: beach bags
A vinyl bag doesn’t make all the sense in the world for the beach, but the poppy 70s rainbow-bright sunset here is too much of a delight to be ignored.
A basket shape is so French in a really sweet way, and this one is nicely under $50.
I like how this seems Mexican serape-inspired, but is still quite streamlined. And it’s roomy.
The space dye effect here is pretty cool.
Straw and brown leather = classic and cool.
Cheap and chic of the week
The fact that I am endorsing this tank dress represents a major shift in policy for me, as I am typically, vehemently anti-maxi. But this one has such a nice, sophisticated neckline—a rarity for this silhouette—and slouch for days.
Things I want, things I bought
I have been wearing my new skinny army pants so much up here in the mountains that it’s getting a little gross. Even as I type I am wearing them, yet again. They have the best, most flattering silhouette (the back pockets are strategically cut for maximum butt-flattering-ness) and so much stretch—without looking like they do—that they’re as comfortable as leggings. The fact that they’re black adds a nice dose of sophistication.
They’d actually look totally adorable with this Mexican embroidered top, which I especially desire.
To finish things off: this nifty clog sandal, in a pale pink that works nicely as a neutral.
