  • Fun with hidden images on album covers. (Mental Floss)
  • The only reason I bring you this post about the utterly tasteless  and frankly stupid “blood-stained” Kent State sweatshirt that Urban Outfitters is (justifiably) suffering a backlash for selling is that it includes a very interesting Q&A with Jerry Casale of DEVO, who attended Kent State and was an eyewitness to the event. (Dangerous Minds)
  • Genius. (Deadspin)
  • Farewell to Nurse Jackie—the rare show that brought us a truly complicated and not-entirely likable antiheroine—whose next season will be its last. (A.V. Club)
  • An autocorrect fail so brilliant it inspired a Tumblr. (Laughing Squid)

I was having a truly horrible week last week but the grandmas=Grandmaster Flash phenomenon brightened my day immensely. It’s hilarious but also just incredibly sweet.

I don’t think those shirts will ever be funny.

Nice to know though that Devo has a political philosophy. Totally missed it. Ooooops.

If one were to grasp for a silver lining, I guess any historical memory here is better than none?
