I see I want

It’s not especially in my wheelhouse, but I became obsessed with the quilted leather bomber that Loeffler Randall’s Jesse Randall is wearing in this profile on Madewell’s blog the second I saw it.  It walks that classic/edgy line quite well, if you take the quilting to Barbour-type places in your head, which I do. It also seems like it’d be a good weight for early spring. Should spring ever actually come.

The closest approximation I could find is this—which is Isabel Marant and a wonder to behold and probably too pricey even for Princess Week.

This one’s a little more like it.

Another option — good quilting effect, but sans the cool pockets:

Oh, I see, she isn’t actually wearing it, took me awhile to see it was on her shoulders. “why is it bulging so unattractively in the back?”

Oh wow! I’m now equally obsessed.

i love that obey version best- BUT that’s quite a commitment to wearing the logo in shiny gold so conspicuously.

Lately it seems I also want what you see.

I’m not usually a huge Isabel Marant fan, but that jacket is perfection, although way too pricey. Can I just say that I am sick to death of the jacket over shoulders trend. People, it’s cold out there!

When I was in Paris Spring 2012, so many women had very covetable quilted leather bomber jackets, but the only ones in the shops were quite expensive (and the dollar was weak, as usual). But I snapped up a DVF one when I found it 60% off back in the States. It’s such a good look and surprisingly warm!
