A week or so ago I posted some loud floral tops—because there are a lot of them around this season, and because I believe it’s worthwhile occasionally to give careful good taste the bird and have some fun. I thought they were cute, but you guys didn’t agree so much. And ever since—and I say this while proudly standing by my (possibly a bit much) loud floral print choices—I feel like I’ve owed you a new post. One that’s full of really pretty florals that nevertheless pack a little punch. Like this handkerchief top, which could go over the top but doesn’t, because the pink and the brown play together so nicely
Prints and shoes do not go together in my book, but this totally works, mostly because everything’s so muted except the pops of pink, and they’re not overdone.
This is so pretty and painterly, and of course I love any floral print with lots of black in it.
The stripes as a backdrop for the flowers is so improbable, but it totally works.
I can’t even bear how elegant the red, cream and black look together on this peasant top. I want to say it’s very 70s YSL but I don’t actually have any idea of how true that is.Tags: florals, Phillip Lim, prints, Tucker
