    I had no idea Hitchcock was so awful.

    I also think a lot of other men knew what he was doing and let him get away with it. We should all remember that we have a duty to try to stop stuff like this when we see it. It’s easy to say one person is a jerk — but less easy to explain why no one stopped him.

    And I’m not sure things are that different today, either. Legally they may be, but I’m sure people in Hollywood are abusing their power right and left. Why wouldn’t they? Women need to form collectives and make their own pictures. We may be mean to each other a lot of the time, but at least actual rape is pretty rare!
